Imagine a future where building energy systems are not only taking energy from the grid, but storing and producing energy, and are an active participant of the grid. Buildings are the largest energy consuming sector in the US and account for over 70% of total electricity use. The Rosenfeld Symposium will explore transformative technologies and systems to ensure that the buildings and the electric grid are integrated to provide next generation clean, reliable and economic energy systems.

The Symposium aims to encourage and inspire the next generation of researchers in this field with engaging expert talks, panel session discussions, lightning-round presentations by early career researchers and a poster session highlighting the accomplishments of early career finalists in a poster competition.
